Ahmed Mualla

المتحدة A Syrian plastic artist, born in Baniyas in 1958, graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus / Department of Visual Communication, in 1981, he obtained a diploma from the Higher National School of Decorative Arts in Paris in 1987, and he taught at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus 1989-1996. He has worked in graphic design, posters and book covers, currently working on art. His works are acquired by the Syrian Ministry of Culture and within private collections. He held many solo exhibitions beginning in 1988 in various regions of Syria and abroad (Greece - Lebanon - Turkey - Kuwait - Emirates - Bahrain - Germany - France) He participated in many joint exhibitions in Syria - Lebanon - Egypt - France - Switzerland - Turkey - America - Qatar - Austria - Switzerland. He has a wide range of posters, book covers, design publications and advertising campaigns, is a scenography designer for a range of national theater work, and a landscape architect and decor designer for a range of film and television works. He has literary and critical contributions to many Arab periodicals. He has published two studies on Western propaganda directed at Arab countries and on the role of propaganda in Western art.
